"The Outsiders", written by S.E. Hinton in the 1960s, a pretty old book but was very well-writtened and is a classic piece. It is a dramatic and enduring piece that has the power to affect us and stay with us forever. I believe that this story will continue to be cherish and pass down to the future generations although it had already been created for over forty years. The book marks deep in my mind because it expressed a idea of how young adults seek to prove themselves and the mental pressure they faced. The first time I read this book was when I was still in elementary, that time of course I read the chinese version. I didn't quite remember how I feel that time, but after two-three years, we got the english version as an agenda in english class. I didn't immediately made a connection within the two books, but after a few pages, the memories of how the book impressed me started to gurgled out. Reading this book while adolescent really gives you a different feeling. What happened in the book have no chance to happen in our life, but at this age, we feel like we want to challenge something- no matter it's our parents, teachers or the system. Reading the book makes this feeling release a bit, cause we had the feeling as if we were one of them in the book. This is not a hard book to read, the usage of words may be some kind of old-school, but the author expressed her feelings in the book really well. I've read it for many times, it's a good book to read while I feel pissed by life, you see things from more points of view and tend to cherish life more. This is the only book I read that was written by S.E. Hinton, but she became one of my most favored author after reading this book. I really admired her and highly recommend the book.
